How To Revive Your Those Elden Ring Runes You Murdered Prior to the Patch Fixing Their Quests

If you're an overly enthusiastic (or overly aggressive) Elden Ring player, you could have killed a few NPCs here and there but didn't realize that they were in fact crucial to the quest, or that they were holding on to an crucial item. But you're fortunate: A few of the killed NPCs have not been permanently dead, or even permanently mad at you after a resurrected. To attempt to wipe your slate clean the only thing you have to do is pay a visit to the Church of Vows and say "sorry I'm sorry" for killing them. Well, it's more complex than that. But it's not much.

Go to the crumbled church in Eastern Liurnia, just west of the Ainsel River Well (or slightly south of the Raya Lucaria Crystal Tunnel). There you'll meet the gigantic tortoise Miriel, who is identifiable by her adorable pope's hat. However, you don't really need to talk to Miriel to meet her. What you're actually looking for is the lady statue Rennala in the back. A consumable called "Celestial Dew" to the statue of the fairy goddess will cause a revival for some of NPCs in the game, and revived NPCs will also be able to forget any hostility they've displayed towards you.

The issue is that not all NPCs are revived in by this method. The game is new that many new discoveries are being made. The knowledge is in a state of flux, and it's not entirely clear why some NPCs can be revived , whereas others can't. Until the community compiles more concrete information, you'll just have to believe in the best when it comes to resurrecting someone. (That however, completing the ritual does seem to nullify all living NPCs who are angry at you even if they're listed on the "resurrectible" list.)

However the Celestial Dew you'll need for the ritual is available through many ways. There's a seller who sells it in the vicinity of the Ainsel River, or Pidia at the Caria Manor in northern Liurnia. There's also the option of getting the dew the old-fashioned RPG way, which is to steal the corpses. There are a few of them if you search for specific corpses from the Uhl Palace Ruins, Nokron, Night's Sacred Ground, Nokstella, and Raya Lucaria Academy. Hey, it's the least penance you can do for taking a demihuman life isn't it? You monster.

Concerning NPCs They're more easily to locate now that the most recent buy Elden Ring Items update also added useful NPC icons to the map. If you're in some sort of a gruesome mood and searching for potential victims, take glance at your map. (Again it's true that you're an abomination.) Some NPCs are not rehabilitable take note. Therefore, think very careful before trying to kill one of them.
